OVERVIEW

Spend a 7 day in Uganda tracking primates.  Chimpanzee in Kibale Forest National Park the primate capital of the world, enjoy Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park walking through the trails to track the mighty gorillas. 

BRIEF ITINERARY

  • Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
  • Day 2: Entebbe /Kibale National Park 
  • Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park
  • Day 4: Kibale National Park / Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
  • Day 5: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
  • Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park/Entebbe. 
  • Day 7: Depart

DAY 1- ARRIVAL ENTEBBE, KAMPALA

Our representative will pick you from Entebbe International Airport and transfer you to Airport Guesthouse. Lunch/ dinner and overnight under own arrangements.

DAY 2: ENTEBBE/ KIBALE NATIONAL PARK 

After breakfast checkout and drive to Kibale National Park.

Kibale is famous for its impressive population of over 1,400 chimpanzees, making it one of the best places in the world for primate viewing. Additionally, Kibale boasts excellent birdwatching opportunities, with over 375 species recorded, including the elusive green-breasted pitta and African grey parrot.

With a stopover for lunch, you arrive at check in at Kibale Forest Camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, transfer to the park offices for a guided Chimpanzee trekking adventure in search of the playful chimps, considered to be man’s socially and genetically closest ape relatives. Chimpanzee trekking typically takes around 3-4 hours. This includes both the time spent hiking to locate the chimpanzees and the one-hour you will get to spend observing them. After your magical encounter with our closest relative trek back to base where your driver/guide will be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge for lunch and a rest. Spend the rest of the day at leisure with dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Camp.

DAY 4: KIBALE NATIONAL PARK / BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast check out and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Park.

Bwindi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and significance as a sanctuary for endangered mountain gorillas. The forest’s canopy shelters over 400 mountain gorillas, representing almost half of the world’s population, making it a prime destination for gorilla trekking.

With a stopover on for lunch at a restaurant, you will arrive and check in at Gorilla Valley Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 5: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, transfer to the park offices for a guided Gorilla trekking experience.

Meet with the park guides and have a briefing before the start of the trek. The trek take around 1-6 hours, after locating the gorillas spend 1hr observing this mighty creature. Later trek back to base, meet your driver/guide, and return to the lodge. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 6: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK/ ENTEBBE

After breakfast, exit and drive back to Entebbe. Make a stopover at the Equator point for chance to take pictures have lunch. Continue driving to Entebbe, arrive and check at Airport Guesthouse for dinner and overnight. 

DAY 7:  ENTEBBE/ DEPARTURE

After breakfast, spend the rest of the day resting. At the suitable time, you transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.

  • Transportation in a safari-customized 4WD Toyota Land Cruiser with fuel/gasoline
  • Services of a trained, courteous & professional English speaking Driver/guide(s),

  • Accommodation at the indicated Hotels & Lodges as shown
